Her investments in oil sands doomed her. I doubt she was first choice. Then Hagel to defense is a big “up yours” to McCain. Kerry was always first choice. Only question is will Patrick appoint himself? I doubt Brown could beat him in MA. This is not a win, Rice will end up as National Security Advisor which does not require confirmation. All this did was give us both Kerry, Rice, and maybe Patrick.

I really wish we would see the whole field instead of myopic petty battles. This makes Obama look bi-partisan and he gets what he wants anyway. Once again Obama plays the media and the republicans.

I will give him credit he is getting very good at this.

so nominating a failed Presidential candidate who is on video trashing the US military is a win for Obama?

This is political loss for him, although not a big one or anything.

Liberals and dems wil remember how tough Obama can be when he wants to. How he went after Romney, how he went after Hillary in the primary, how he’s stood up for Holder, etc...

And yet when it comes to Rice he just walks away. I think it makes him look weak for the moment.

And Kerry is a loser, he gives Obama nothing.

how does Obama look bipartisan nominating a hardcore liberal for Sec State?
