I am sure they are working hard on eliminating private transportation with the gas prices, police harassment and traffic tickets. And traffic tickets with points is a way to get you license pulled and take the option away.

The black boxes for cars are sure to be wired for a sensor that records acoustic vibrations between 100-2800Hz, the speech range.
