But what if Republicans send two bills to the Senate, one extending cuts <$250K (for everyone) and one >$250K

Then they are not : 1) Raising taxes, or 2) Holding the middle class hostage to the rich

Then its Dems that raised those taxes.

You are demonstrating how simple it would be to beat the Dems if the R's would step up to the plate. Simple.

RE :”You are demonstrating how simple it would be to beat the Dems if the R's would step up to the plate. Simple.”

I been posting this for months

Instead they trap themselves in a rhetoric box equating automatic tax increases to THEM raising those taxes, a sure way to pee off either key voters or your own $$$ base.
Then there's an idea floating around that the R House put up a bill for vote extending the <$250K for everyone and just vote 'present' rather than for it, letting Pelosi extend those cuts. This sounds so stupid to me.

They never specifically said they wouldnt extend just part of them in a single bill either

Hopefully they will provre me wrong, but we really seem to have a stupid party led by the weak clueless Bohner.
