MCCARTHYISM? GOP SOURCE SAYS MAJORITY WHIP DRAFTED BOEHNER PURGE LIST
Breitbart ^ | 121212 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 12/11/2012 10:53:59 PM PST by Fred

A House GOP source has confirmed to Breitbart News that House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy was the one who drafted the secret criteria list House Speaker John Boehner used in his purge of conservatives from House committees. The source, someone with inside knowledge of how Boehner conducted the purge, told Breitbart News that McCarthy crafted the list, which included a scorecard of where several conservative members stood on certain votes. According to the source, it’s unclear at this time whether McCarthy made the list of his own accord or if he did so at the request of somebody else in GOP leadership – like Boehner or House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

The purge we really need is Boehner, Cantor and McCarthy.

People always seem to give a Cantor a pass for some reason. I always saw him as a snake-oil salesman who was addicted to talking points, but uncommitted to the ideas Republicans claim to stand for.

Conservatives have left the GOP, which is WHY they lost the election to Obama.Do not believe all the other prognostications about why the GOP lost. What we saw was a GOP without the unified, synchronized support of conservatives. Romney never even met once with the Southern Baptist Conference, where he easily could have organized a million votes or so.

The GOP thought it could win without conservatives. They were sadly mistaken, and tried their same old lip service double speak designed to keep conservatives on board, thinking that yet again conservatives would
show up and help get out the vote. They did not.

Now RINOs like Boehner think that they can get the job done by purging conservatives from committees. This will either underwhelm America by providing ineffectual governance, or cause conservative Americans to abstain from voting until they have their own representative party.

McCarthy wants to get rid of the grass roots voice and surrender the GOP to progressive Republicans who know far better than the unwashed masses they happen to represent?
Well that approach worked well in the Nov. election didn’t it? Looooooooooosers and surrender monkeys. Thats all the GOP has without its conservatives.

I have asked my congressman to abstain in January on the Boo Hoo Boehner vote. He won’t but I asked him too. The party is finished.

The Venona papers proved McCarthy was essentially right, even if his own personal flaws allowed him to go too far (probably out of frustration and being demonized from the get-go), and
make some charges and name some names who were “innocent”.
Not just Venona, but tons of other scholarship proved Communist infiltration at the highest levels of government.
It was, needless to say, FDR , his worldview, and the choices he made, that made that possible.

FR began 2/97, so let's make original Freepers of that year as
old as the world's oldest people, or 105. So 7 years would
be equivalent to 1 year as a Freeper (just like dogs!).
This makes old Laz a decrepit 105, but hosepipe and me are a sprightly 98.

For years, the mediocre SS Officer Reinhardt Heydrich collected his stack of index cards listing all those disloyal to the Nationalist Socialist agenda...waiting until he rose high enough in the party ranks so that he could at last prove his devotion to the ideology by ordering the purge of those on his lists.

The diference between Heydrich and Boner being?

One never cried.

I think that icon represents a guy winking at me with a baseball cap on, but he got hit in the mouth with a softball and it’s stuck, and the little dots are his teeth falling out.

Laz, have you ever suspected that some of the old school Freeps have handed their accounts over to young Turks at least from time to time, YT's perhaps not so conservative as they...is the evil Left willing to pay old Freepers to use their names for purposes of sedition?

...I ain't a noob nor an OG (original gansta;) like you still sometimes the debates get a little weird here...but it's more than difficult to call out a troll when his FR handle is over a decade old.

Naw. I just suspect that some of the people who originally signed on, varied from RINO's to fiercely conservative. There's one fellow in particular, I am thinking of. Out of fairness to him, I won't name him. He was a FR bigwig for some time, but it turned out, when he was banned for pounding on Sarah Palin pretty much with every post, that he may have held some conservative ideals, and some ideals that were more Republican party loyalist. There have been, actually, more than just a few of those, now that I think of it. The Old Guarde was just as likely to get some more-Republican/less-Conservative people as the current signup crew.

In fact, there's one guy, who's name escapes me, who actually admits to starting here as a conservative -- way back in 1998 -- but drifting so far to the left that he now self-describes as an outright liberal.

So, standards have changed, and even people change.

So we got some Goldwaters here—righteous conservative heroes in the beginning but senile gullible old fools near the end...

...I prefer the nefarious conspiracies of the evil Left but you are probably right and it breaks my heart that some of us are so weak—so weak as to suggest our struggle is a question of if the cause is worth it.

How does this equal McCarthyism?

Where is the threat of Communism being squashed?

Where are the slanderous charges of “manipulated photos”?

Where are the charges of “ever changing numbers of reputed names”?

The Left played to the middle in 2006 and then quickly blocked the moderate Democrats from actually holding any power.

No talk of “purges” or “gulaging” was used.

There may very well be an organized plan to remove the Tea Party/conservative candidates from power, but don’t buy into the myths of “McCarthyism”.

I have also asked my Congressman to abstain or vote no and get rid of Tammy Faye. Prolly won’t happen though.
