I would deal with that by putting a line item on every sale of 3.25% medical device tax as a line item on the sales receipt. Don't just absorb it. It's a federally imposed sales tax. Collect it. Let the buyer understand exactly the origin of the extra cost.

Darn right! The only thing I'd change is instead of calling it a federal sales tax, I'd list it on the receipt in bold print as a "Democratic Party Mandatory Sales Tax".
