We were discussing this last night at our RCIA lesson on Mary (I'm a member of the RCIA teaching team) --- we were talking about Mary's strong empathy with Jesus, to the extent that even when He was an infant, Simeon said that a sword would pierce Mary's heart and soul (like the sword that pierced Jesus) --- it was all there, on the level of empathy, from the beginning.
("And Mary kept these things, pondering them in her heart.")
I'm not too much into theo-bio-speculation. But it's something to think of, if a child's cells are microchimerizing the mother, and the Child is the Son of God.
See Bayard's comment at post #10.
I think it was Salvation who mentioned that there are cells remaining in a woman’s uterus from each child she bears. Iirc, it was in the context of the Assumption, because part of the body of the incarnate Son of God was still carried by His Mother on earth until she was assumed into Heaven.
There are many Theological implications, such as man and wife becoming one and the sins of the father being visited on the sons unto 7 generations and many more that I haven’t incorporated into the new paradigm yet.
While this info is new, it may be just a tip of the iceberg as to how much integration there really is and what it truly means or doesn’t mean.
Just think of the fact that Jesus was to be descended from the line of David. There may be reasons we have no clue about yet as to why it was part of the plan.
