Suicide should not be considered a forseeable consequence of a harmless practical joke. You are right that if she’d dropped dead on-the-spot it would be no different. Sudden death isn’t a forseeable consequence of a harmless phone prank either.

They didn’t kill her. She killed herself.

What if I went and offed myself because you and I disagreed on this here internet forum? I’ll put it in a note. You were the last straw. Maybe the only straw. Forseeable? Liable?

does not matter. The fact she was of weaker disposition is hard luck for the PERPETRATOR.

The law is crystal clear. You take your victim as you find them.

Some consequence, whater it may be, is 100% forseable.

that creates the liablity.

the fact the consequence resulted in a death, even if self inflicted, is STILL THE DJ/perps liability.

it is the law, period.
