Boehner needs to go. Can a vote for Speaker be called at any time during the Congressional session, or once he is selected as Speaker does that entitle him to sit in the position for the entire two years?

Can a vote for Speaker be called at any time during the Congressional session, or once he is selected as Speaker does that entitle him to sit in the position for the entire two years? The Speaker of the House serves entirely at the pleasure of a majority of the members of that chamber. An election for Speaker can thus be held at any time during a Congressional session, so long as a majority of the House support such a vote.
