I always found it ironic that the police motto is “to serve and protect”, while the fire motto is “we’re there when you need us”. Shouldn’t it be the other way around?

BTW Ransom needs an editor and quick. It’s a good story, poorly written. For instance, what is a “current Daley nephew”?
