“Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton reiterated U.S. warnings to Assad not to use chemical weapons, saying he would be crossing “a red line” if he did so.”

Wow. I’m sure that really scared Assad. He’s probably cowering under his bed in fear of crossing that red line.

She’s wise to save the BRIGHT red line for later. No one can withstand that.

And in doing so, deliberately informed the rebels EXACTLY what needs to happen so they can have F/A-18s come assist them. Don’t think for a minute they didn’t clearly understand what she was telling them to do.

She told them “politically we cannot sell this at home, so we need you to make sure you are “attacked” by gas”.

Heaven help us if he does cross the red line, and we do nothing. Better to be ambiguous, IMO, then to say things in public which will be used to show once again that we are all talk.
