GOP REP: BOEHNER MAY 'TARGET' MORE CONSERVATIVES
Breitbart ^ | Wednesday December 5, 2012

Posted on 12/05/2012 2:22:54 PM PST by Bigtigermike

House Speaker John Boehner on Wednesday warned his House Republican conference against dissent from GOP leadership – and threatened retaliation similar to that against the already-purged conservatives if anyone else breaks from his pack.

The Hill reports that, according to Kansas Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp, Boehner used his weekly GOP conference meeting to “note that we [leadership] have punished four members, he claimed that it had nothing to do with their conservative ideology, but had to do with their voting patterns."

Huelskamp also said Boehner threatened “there may be more folks that will be targeted” and that Boehner told the caucus that “‘we're watching all your votes.’”

It’s unclear what criteria Boehner and GOP leadership plan to use in the weeks and months ahead. Boehner spokesman Michael Steel wouldn’t provide specifics on what criteria or votes on which the Speaker is “watching” conservative Republicans.

Instead, when asked, Steel provided Breitbart News with the exact quote another Boehner spokesman gave two nights ago for a response to a completely different question. “The Steering Committee makes decisions based on a range of factors,” Steel said.

FU Boehner. I cannot wait to toss you out on your drunk ass in 2014. Enjoy your last two years of this BS.

If Speaker Boehner was disciplining the nominally conservative Republicans to actually vote more conservative, then I’d applaud him. In other words, I don’t see anything wrong per se with enforcing party discipline. It’s how it’s used.

In fact, I admire Nancy Pelosi’s ability to keep her party in line on key (hard left) votes. She’s even managed to force some moderate Democrats to toe the line at the expense of their political careers. We should want Republicans to stick together in much the same way so long as their moving the political football to the right.

THAT’s the real problem! Mr. Boehner is NOT moving to the right. He’s capitulating for more big government.

Republicans shouldn’t act like the democrats.

Voting for the Ryan budget was acting like the Democrats?

Really?

Odd then that no Democrat voted for it.

I haven't been following the details of yesterday's and today's news of the Boehner purge of conservatives. That said, I don't understand the Ryan angle that you brought up. From what I can tell, Ryan wasn't purged. Are you saying that Ryan was, or is complicit in the purge?

What makes you say that people are turning on Ryan?

You can pimp for Boehner and the GOP-E all you want (like you’ve been doing on all the other related threads), but the fact of the matter is that Boehner, Cantor, McCarthy, Hensnarling, and even Ryan are right now threatening and punishing Conservative House members for maintaining TEA party principles and voting accordingly, and thus we are watching the final disintegration of the Republican Party.

I've seen people here attacking Ryan because he's not "standing up" for these four.

However, they did not vote for his budget.

They are Ron Paul wannabees. No one ever heard of them before this week yet suddenly they are heroes? Very very odd.

Maybe its time the conservatives in the house target Boehner.

Now is the time. Boehner must go

I contacted my Representative and asked him about it. He came across as clueless - but then again, he was just appointed to the House Ways and Means committee... so I’m sure he doesn’t want to rock the boat after that juicy appointment...

What a shame, since he was elected as a TEA Party candidate...

Boehner spokesman Michael Steel
Boehner spokesman Michael Steel??

How very interesting.

Steel moved over to the other side and is now a lib commentator on MSNBC.

I had no idea he was still involved with the republicans, just thought he melted into the background after his affirmative action stint as head of the RNC.

The republicans put him in that position for the same reason they gave the election to Obama twice:

Catering to political correctness and "History"

So that's it. MSNBC has one of their guys speaking for Boehner. Figures.

So I live and learn.

When I voted, I thought I was voting for the guy that would represent me.

And all the time, boner thought I was voting for a guy that would represent him.

Am I confused.

All the conservatives in the House should form a “Conservative Caucus.”

If they aren't too busy capitulating.

And they should put it in the face of the GOP-e...instead of a (R) after their name, they should insist on a (R/[C])

Paul wannabees are whiners out for glory.

But suddenly they're heroes on FR even though nobody heard of them before this week.

Truly laughable and embarrassing for the mobs jumping on the bandwagon.

Republicans are purging conservatives for not voting in line with them which currently is —— being more like the democrats fiscally and don’t raise hell about it. Ryan is silent while some members of his committee is being punish for not doing that

I despise the Ron Paul Mob Zombies as much as anyone.

But that is not what’s going on here. This is a purge of Conservatives from the GOP and national politics. This is simply the first step in rendering Conservatism irrelevant politically.

Boehner’s fruits speak to his disdain and hatred of Conservatives.

The GOP are the Judenrat for the MarxoFascists.

You are cluelessly ignorant if you don’t see that.
