Tonight Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) joins us from Washington to fill us in on a possible GOP leadership purge.
Can Conservatives choose a new speaker in January?
OMG... why does S.E. Cupp have to be so ridiculously hot AND conservative?
*drools*
We lost 6 T.E.A Party congressmen this Nov. I don’t think we have the numbers to fire Boehner.
Ya know, I knew that, if elected, Romney would purge Conservatives. Quite frankly, even though he is a RINO idiot, I didn’t expect Boehner to do it. Wow.
I did. Did you see his face during the Obamacare Tea Party rally on the capitol steps? He clearly didn’t want to be there. I think it was while Bachmann was speaking.
Time for Boehner and Cantor to go, ASAP!
Zatso?
Did you happen to notice the crowd size and enthusiasm differences between Romney and Obama before the last election?
This is the last straw....Bonehead has got to go..he better get his head out of his a**...then he’ll wonder why conservatives are running from the Republican party...I’m really pi**ed over this....
Borrowing a suggestion from Triple on a different thread — Conservatives should announce that they are voting for Allen West. If the GOP rallies behind that, then we get a real Conservative speaker. If the GOP does not rally behind that, then Nancy Pelosi becomes Speaker. Let Boehner choose.
The Republican leadership/elite is [a little] upset it didn't win, they figured that they could get their liberal (Romney) in by relying on the dissatisfaction of the [conservative] base... unfortunately for them it seems they "misunderestimated" the amount of people who, like me, have said "I'm not going to vote for someone only 'because the other guy's worse.'"
But we shouldn't be surprised at all, the push for Romney by the leadership/elite (including dirty, dirty politics) shows us just how much they value their base: they don't, they're obviously entitled to our vote. [/GOPe-think -- I need a shower now.]
I thought the speaker had to be a sitting member of the House.
Is there any doubt this party doesn’t represent us any longer?
The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.
Nothing about being a sitting member there at all. They could choose Bruce Springsteen, if they wanted to.
“Article I, Section 2 (in part):
The House of Representatives shall choose their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.
Nothing about being a sitting member there at all. They could choose Bruce Springsteen, if they wanted to. “
Don’t give them any ideas...
That's why a lot of tax paying American citizens don't bother to vote. They don't think it'll make a difference. They get screwed from both sides every time.
When was the last time a republican eliminated an oppressive liberal social program? They had plenty of chances, but did noting at all the free the slaves. In fact, they added even more burdens instead.
The tax slaves have no one to vote FOR. They haven't since the day the politicians discovered they could take funds from one group and use those funds to buy votes for themselves from another.
Now we have three individual groups. The slaves, the elites, the freeloaders and their purchased votes.
The slaves produce, the funds go to buy votes from the freeloaders, and the elites get to keep living in power and luxury. It's just one big pyramid.
Chaos is breaking out because the elites have bleed the tax slaves dry, and the entire house of political power is starting to fall. Without slaves - the other two groups begin to starve.
Thank you.
When a representative, especially the leader in the House, demands loyalty to the party over loyalty to the country and the Constitution then that person must be forced out of office immediately.
Anyone who places loyalty to the party over the country is a traitor of the highest order.
There has to be “leadership” in the party before it can be purged.
“...to fill us in on a possible GOP leadership purge.”
Uh, excuse me — “possible”? Wake up and smell the coffee. It’s a done deal.
All I know, is that we have the majority in the House and we continue to allow Democrat policy be to implemented there.
What’s the point of electing a Republican majority?
One can always hope.
Lets take this idea far and wide...
West for speaker - or you get Pelosi. Yes - it is hardball.
Boehner started it with a purge of conservatives from committees.
Conservatives need to flex and exercise their muscles.
Now is the time!
West for Speaker or the House!
If the GOPe (Boehner) doesn’t go along - they will end up with Pelosi, because conservatives are voting for West.
From our experience here in Iowa with Paulbots, I'm glad they were removed and they probably deserved it.
Because of the mob mentality here on FR, everyone automatically thinks the worst before investigating.
Sorry, but that is a very bad idea.
How do Tea Party members expect to get their way in the House when they can't even hold their own seats in their own districts?
You can accept the left (D) and right (R) wings of the socialist/political class party if you want, but I reject the republicans - because they reject conservatives.
You scared? You should be.
Time for conservatives to quit whining and do something about it. We need to leave the party en masse. All we (as conservatives) do is whine about GOP repeatedly screwing us. If you want it to stop, we need to leave the party.
The GOP-E has conservatives calibrated.
