I wonder if it has occurred to the Speaker and the Majority Leader that they would not be Speaker and Majority Leader but for the guys they are busily throwing down the stairs (i.e., the TEA Party members elected in 2010).
With any luck, by 2016, no one will remember who the “Republican Party” was. It will be alongside the Whigs in the history books as a failed political party everyone make jokes about.
