To be fair, although O is worse, the GOP didn't worry that much about the debt in the GWB years,
If you recall the Budget control act automatically extended the debt limit a second time this year to get O through the election.
As long as O can successfully get voters to blame congressional Rs for anything that goes wrong these conditions are just formalities, O gets whatever he wants.
Rs don’t seem to understand that. They don't understand that voters need to be won over to have any success.
More recently I see Grover on TV shows trying to make the case that it is Obama pushing us off the cliff, not the GOP.
But that battle is long lost as they all seem to be by the time these confrontations hit.
” the GOP didn’t worry that much about the debt in the GWB years, “
GOPe was getting all of THEIR pork, so why worry?
No it didn’t, and I’ve railed on that for years. It gave the the Left cover to say we were no better too. And now we look like we’re being two faced.
Bush destroyed our ability to push for decent policies. Too many well meaning people on our side, trashed criticism of Bush’s actions in what they considered to be defense of Conservatism.
It played right into the hands of the Left.
It’s why I detest voting in Leftist Republican. In this instance (Romney), it’s tough to see how you take a pass on that.
