Best place to be born in 2013? Switzerland. Though America may be the "land of opportunity," Switzerland will be the best place to be born in 2013 according to a quality-of-life index from the Economist Intelligence Unit. The EIU, a sister company to The Economist magazine, determines quality of life based on surveys of the population covering 11 factors including wealth, crime, family life, trust in government and the stability of the economy.

Australia is second on the list.
And yes you can have guns in Oz.

That's an awful lot of evil Europeans there. It's almost in line with America's whitest state - Vermont at 95.5%
I heard that in OZ, there is a gun tax of $1000/gun. US military attached to one of the embassies told me that he only had one gun due to this permit. Ain’t no shan gri las, it’s what you make wherever you call home.
But doesn’t Australia make it expensive/very difficult to own a gun? And aren’t they going nuts on Global Warming rules and taxes...not to mention the internet censorship.
I’m asking, not telling, because I’ve read/heard things in passing but won’t profess to be an expert.
