The 26-year old nursing student, and mother of two, says she has asked for a raise but her pleas have gone unheeded for weeks.

I almost want them to get a Union, then let her go beg for a raise/promption.

Lib: Mr. Manager, I have worked here for X years and have been stepping up, can I get a promotion?

Manger: Sorry, Steve has been employed here longer and has seniority, he get's the promoting next.

Lib: But Steve is late every day and hardly does any work.

Manager: Well, now that we have the union, that is out of my control. The Union say Steve is next based on seniority.

Lib: Well, can I get a raise than?

Manager: no. According to the Union contract, you will get a 10 cent raise next year.

The best part is that her ten cent raise will be accompanied by fifteen cents an hour in union dues.
