To: Cringing Negativism Network
Have you tried to produce and sell anything in the US? Do you buy products from US companies even when the cost is twice as much? If people were to try to buy and produce exclusively in the US, our standard of living would plummet. The US is so anti-manufacturing it is not even funny. High regulation, high employee costs and high taxes make producing goods in the US not cost effective. Unless you change the environment first, moving production to the US we just result in bankruptcy. It would be like throwing fish into boiling water and wondering why they died. The conditions must be right for fish and manufacturing to survive.

Yes there are obstacles to US production.

Perhaps the discussion might usefully center on how those obstacles can be removed.

And likewise obstacles introduced to importing from countries in which our productive assets have been moved, to bring them back here.

What we are doing now, is losing steadily.

That is what I am saying.
