This state has been messed up for so long I see no real hope for it.
It's literally been “Three men in a room” governing for so long that any news that hints that might change is seen with some skepticism.

As I understand it, Cuomo does NOT want the Democrats to take control of the senate. If they do, they will flood him with whacky left-wing legislation, and he doesn’t want to either risk his reputation by signing it, or going to war with his own party by vetoing it. If the GOP maintains control, the Republicans can be blamed for blocking the leftist agenda.
