"No, it is not quality of life. It is being raised by the lowest of society. Tell me about a prostitute and pimp having 8 kids. Do you think their offspring going to discover a cure for cancer? Or just spend the rest of life on drugs and food stamps?" Yes, because if there's one tenet of Conservatism we can all agree upon it's that nobody can ever rise above the circumstances into which they are born. < /sarc>

Paul is wrong. The Constitution nowhere specifies that Congress has the power to redefine terms used in the Constitution. No, but they can obviously redefine traditional terms found in the dictionary (see: "marriage", "gay")
I submit they should redefine the term "abortion" to mean: "put to death by being shot in the head"

While I agree with the sentiment, I agree with Madison that the Constitution should be interpreted attributing meanings to the words as they were understood and intended by the people who wrote and ratified them.
The propostion that the people who wrote and ratified the 14th Amendment intended and understood it to outlaw the practice of abortion, and then failed to comply with their own intent seems dubious.

I quite agree. Since liberals have no respect for the Constitution, for the language or for history, they have no problem with lying about what the Constitution means.
Conservatives have to be somewhat more constrained, or they concede that liberals are right when they say the words of the Constitution don’t really mean anything.
You know, I sat down the other night and read thru the entire Roe v Wade decision. The actual decision is not really all that bad. It attempts to draw a reasonable (from their POV) line between state interest in protecting fetal life and the individual’s “right to privacy.”
The problem, of course, is that this “right to privacy” is not found in the Constitution, so they had to pretend it was.
And of course that Roe was merely the opening gun in an assault that eventually led to the USA having the fewest restrictions on abortion of any western nation of which I’m aware. Abortion on demand, up to and DURING birth.

Pro-life is a libertarian issue too. ..Damn straight. No it isn't!
Lib Platform
1.4 Abortion
Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can hold good-faith views on all sides, we believe that government should be kept out of the matter, leaving the question to each person for their conscientious consideration.

"Recognizing that abortion is a sensitive issue and that people can hold good-faith views on all sides, we believe that government should be kept out of the matter, leaving the question to each person for their conscientious consideration." Obviously they have decided the unborn person is not a person.

Thank you for setting the record straight. I knew that was a lie since I have read the LP platform.
That’s why R.Paul wanted abortion to be up to the states. Of course, with RvW in place, states can’t even prohibit killing the unborn if they want to.
Libertarianism has nothing to do with Constitutional principles.

Or any mainstream libertarians either I guess.
Such as the drug-addled, fag-loving, baby-killer Neal Boortz?

1) Should every miscarriage be investigated as a possible murder? Is every death investigated as a possible murder?
2) Should there be some sort of monitoring and testing system imposed...
Of course not. But this brings us a good point in terms of abortifacient birth control methods. If everyone who is ostensibly pro-life would stop inadvertently aborting their children via birth-control, we could win a lot more elections.

The same reporters who will ask a Republican how old they think the earth is will never ask a Democrat when they think life begins. I like your statement, but its not quite accurate - Obama was asked, and his answer was, thats above my pay grade.
That's how conservatives should reply to asinine MSM questions...and joke that "like 0bama, it's above my pay grade to answer your gotcha question".
