I agree that criminals have ditched bootlegging in favor of more profitable activities. You should ask yourself: what do these activities all have in common that makes them so lucrative?

You do realize that organized crime was into the aforementioned activities BEFORE they were into bootlegging, right? You do also know they made more money from booze AFTER Prohibition than during, right? You do understand that gangland killing has gone on long after Prohibition ended, right?
