I spent the better part of 4 years working for the State Dept in Iraq. One of the first things you encounter is being asked what you do for DoS and what school you went to. Many will brag that they work in the Econ section, Political Section or whatever other sections they have.
However, the very, very large majority of DoS, USAID and their liberal, progressive contractors live in an alternate universe. They spend their lives living behind walls and attending cocktail parties on the taxpayer dime. And, pretty much to the person, they’re almost all muslim sympathizers.
It reminds me of that little poem called The Young Lady From Niger.

I see that nothing has changed, I had the same experience with these yahoos back in 1967 in SE Asia. They talk a good line but in no way do they walk the “walk”.
