AB.....

....I see you’re getting it!

Your idea of constantly publicizing who they call to speak, who they deny, .....it’s how we have to start doing.

My summary of this recent election, bearing in mind that I was WRONG about the election result, wrong almost as much as Dick Morris, is as follows:

Look at Romney. Look at Ryan. Romney, rich guy, mid-sixties, good looking, rich, perfect kids, grandkids, beautiful wife....religious, an okay speaker. Look at Ryan, a bit of an odd look but basically wholesome, Catholic, cute little kids....

...I think American just decided that Romney wasn’t for them. This is century 21. We’re beyond Leave It to Beaver/Fathwer Know’s Best types.

The above is a simple knee-jerk summary but it’s what I think happened.

More, and this will inflame some of you....this thing about Republicans constantly predicting doom ain’t working.

It’s not that I don’t believe there’s financial rocks ahead. I own a home, I work, I got bills.

The pubs, they always predict gloom and doom, some of you too, and for now even I look around and ponder on what they base this.

Further, in my day as a liberal I recall a couple of things the pubs did that was just flat out wrong-headed.

Airbags in cars.

That’s right. The pubs were all against mandatory air bags in cars, something fought for vehemently by the Dems who received insurance companies’ big bucks to promote air bags.

The debate over air bags is a typical political thing, as pubs we do encourage private industry input into the process no?

Air bags are one of the best safety devices ever invented. The car companies boohooed and the pubs predicted financial armageddin.

Here’s a good one....and it happened to me and affected me more wrongly than anything America ever did.

Now I don’t know why or what imbecile came up with the idea, but it was President Nixon who, for whatever reason he was convinced it was what needed doing...FROZE MY WAGES!!!!

Yes he did, it happened to me. I was young, mid-20’s, worked at Western Electric, up and coming, smart, beloved by my employers. I was up for a step increase in my grade and DENIED IT BECAUSE OF A REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT!!!

Why on earth would a Republican ever advocate freezing of an individual’s fair market salary? My company, not wanting me to quit and go get another job, actually gave me an imaginary promotion because salaries could go up in the event of a promotion.

Again, I’m not clear on why it was done but I know it was a Republican president who froze my wages and what the hell on earth did I do as I struggled to achieve my American dream to deserve that?

Point is, Republicans sure the hell ain’t always right so who says they’re right now?

They’re out an about telling Americans we’re going off some cliff, the world will end, women will lose their birth control then be denied abortion to double the whammy.

Hey, make no mistake, right now I’m very anti-Republican. They don’t represent me and I question every thing they do.

The pubs have never been able to explain with the vigor needed why cutting expenses is needed because, come on guys, those Blue Bloods have a lot of things going on in their districts....

.....we need a Tea Party. I volunteer to be a scribe when the time comes.

I nominate AB to lead the free hats for life campaign.

Pat, you’re almost there too when you talk about the 21st Century.

But you bring up the past like it was yesterday—Nixon froze wages 41—thats FORTY-ONE—years ago.

To a huge number of voters, that was before they were born! Heck, half of them never even saw Ronald Reagan on live TV. Clinton is the first president they can remember thinking about.

The America that used to be is a figment of us older voter’s memories.

Can we envision and articulate an America that is yet to be, an America that’s even BETTER than what she used to be?

Can we do so with the Big Media Democratic Party against us?

No, not with the current crop of “leaders” in the GOP.

So I’m not all doom and gloom. I’m just resigned to the fact that while I type away at this keyboard, I’m not doing much more than any of these GOP leaders.

Things have got to change, but I’m not up to being part of the change.

I do salute both you and Bray for standing up and being involved, so I’ll defer to your collective leadership...

To paraphrase Princess Leia, “Help us Fistalk/Bray (and activists like you—not the GOP), you’re our only hope!”

The disappointment most of us feel is betrayal. RINOs are not something we are interested in. I would be happy to vote for someone who had principles.

The biggest buyers regret in this election, is that Mittens, did not have any principles and we are the ones feeling regretful for having voted for a looser we NEW did not fit the bill.
