CROWLEY: And yet, you're also zen about it. So I am -- let me ask you. Because, you know, this is like, oh, the fiscal cliff is coming, and, oh, my gosh, unemployment is going to skyrocket, and the recession is going to come back. FRANK: The fact is, there is no decision maker. If there was a decision maker who was being complacent in the face of this, you should be very critical. But the American Constitution and the American people have put people into a shared power situation who have had very different views.
Now, one thing is different. Maybe I'm being a little (inaudible) here, but it does seem to me that in 2010, some people came to the Congress, particularly in the House, who said compromise is a bad thing. I hope that as the result of the last election, there's going to be less of that, and every one of us has to be prepared to vote for something we don't like.
Barney, Barney, Barney you Banking Queen! Where was this little (inaudible) when Obama told the Congressional Republicans back in 2009 that "I won." and "Elections have consequences."?
The spirit of compromise has to come from the White House--meaning Obama--and your Leaders Pelosi and Harry Reid, too.
Of course, we all know that when a member of the Big Media Democratic Party speaks about compromise, they mean Republicans must bend to the Leftist postion.
