My main problem with all of this ‘investment in infrastructure’ is that the people who want to spearhead it are the same people who were supposed to be in charge of maintaining the infrastructure all along. We as taxpayers, ostensibly have been paying taxes to keep the roads, bridges and aged water systems in good repair. These dolts, especially those in liberal bastions, siphon off the lions share of these tax revenues in order to fund liberal policies. Now, after decades of mis-management of these assets, they are throwing the responsibilty for renewing the infrastructure back at the feet of taxpayers, both current and future. And all in the name of jobs. I just can’t stand to see them get away with it.
