“Correct me if Im wrong, but wasnt he a conservative?”
I don’t believe so.
He was a pot enthusiast and blew out 2 livers drinking. He lost his gig as a liver transplant spokesman trying to raise awareness to the shortages of transplants after blowing out a transplant very quickly.. 16,000 folks die each year waiting for a liver. He destroyed his first transplanted liver within several years and bought a second.
Only a few, Mickey Mantle and John Phillips come to mind, have the resources and clout to buy-pass the transplant waiting list like Larry.
Rest in peace, but he doesn’t deserve much respect for his personal life.
He received his liver transplant at the Portland VA Medical Center. Still alot of employees around that remember him, especially the nurses. He was a very friendly and outgoing.
