New York Times ^ | Nov 25 2012 | JIM RUTENBERG and JEFF ZELENY

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Now that the Obama and Romney campaigns have closed their headquarters in Chicago and Boston, the attention of the political world is shifting to an office suite tucked behind the colonnades of the Biltmore Hotel complex here.

The suite is where former Gov. Jeb Bush manages his consulting business, his education foundation and, now, the (very) early decision-making process for a possible presidential run in 2016.

"You mean by supporting RINOs I have been helping the Democrats get elected?"

Over 50% are sttill blaming Brother George for the bad economy, based on exit polls.

If the GOPe are stupid enough to put a Bush on the ticket during the next 50 years, they are going to hand elections to the Dems.

Let Jeb run and get it out of his system. I doubt he would make it very far in the primaries anyway.

No way. He’d better tape his mom’s mouth shut if he intends to run.

"And so now, for our astute political analysis, we turn to my friend, 'The Architect', Karl Rove. So Karl, what do you make of all this heavy, heavy buzz we're hearing, Jeb Bush as the leading candidate for 2012?"

We’d have to take care of that in the primaries

If there are eight or nine “conservative” candidates splitting up the vote - per usual - the establishment’s guy will win with a plurality. That’s how Romney won primaries

Of course, Hannity can’t get his years right. He’d mean 2016...

I voted for my last Rino in this election. No more. Maybe Bush can pick
up an illegal vote to replace mine, because I won’t be voting for Bush
Christie, or any other Rino ever again.

I don't see it that way. At first, Bachmann was winning, but she gaffed herself out of contention. Then, Cain was winning, but he either couldn't control himself or caved under false, easily refutable accusations. After that, what was left? Newt had a woman problem, and Freepers did such an effective job dissing the other Conservative choices that Romney was the only one left standing when it was over.

I'm not sure what the solution is, besides possibly agreeing who we're going to support early on and hope they don't collapse as Bachmann and Cain did.

On the bright side, Bachmann did manage to retain her Congressional seat, so maybe she learned from her gaffes. I hope so, because I though she was right on most of the issues.

Oh, and no more trying to stand by candidates who shoot themselves and our side in the butt with "legitimate rape" and "God's will" comments. We saw how well that worked.
