History: FreedomProject Education is a K-12 virtual education institution, founded by the American Opinion Foundation. Established in 2005, American Opinion Foundation, Inc. performs charitable, scientific, literary and/or educational services through community outreach activities. In keeping with AOF charter, FreedomProject began as an extensive free online resource for Americanist education in the classical style, based on the principles and core values modeled in the era of America's founding. On September 6, 2011 FreedomProject Education launched the first segment of our school, the 9th - 12th Grade High School Curriculum. The entire K-12 school will be operating by September 2012.
Location: FreedomProject Education operations reside in a suite of over a dozen offices and a substantial video studio facility located in Appleton, Wisconsin, near the shores of Lake Winnebago, and just south of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Mission: "To empower Americans to understand, enjoy, and preserve the freedom and moral responsibility embodied in America's founding principles."
Motto: "A Classical Education in the Tradition of America's Founders"
Recognized by: Listed on the official register of private schools through the Department of Public Instruction, State of Wisconsin, we have firmly refused public funds of any kind. FPEUSA complies with all existing state and federal statutes regarding education that apply to private schools.

Excellent policy.
The Illinois Baptist Children's Home, of which I am a supporter, has always had the same policy. Result, they do not and will not adopt children to queer "families".
This is the next Teachers Union battleground. Mooc’s: Massively open online courses being spearheaded by some pretty prestigious universities such as Stanford, Mit, Princeton.
I expect the fight at the K-8 level will be the where the pitch battles take place as that’s where liberal indoctrination takes place, but it will go far beyond that as teachers start facing irrelevancy and tenure grows scarce.
I think it is entirely possible to retake at least a part of academia for conservatives. With the current economic system many colleges and universities are relying on adjunct or part time faculty more and more. If Freepers with advanced degrees, (Masters or Doctorate), who have some time available, obtain positions at colleges think of the impact we can have. Sure adjunct faculty are generally limited to a few courses per semester but we begin to make a difference one classroom at a time. I have been teaching humanities and history at my local CC.
It is very gratifying each semester to hear from students how I’ve opened their eyes and got them to think critically. And that is really all it is, thinking critically. I don’t preach to them or advance my agenda. I often end up playing the left’s position in the role of Devil’s Advocate. I just make sure that I present both sides of any issue we are discussing and then let the students decide....it is amazing how many of them are really conservative and didn’t even realize it.

A good TEACHER will take these resources, add value, and give a superior education to the on-line only version. An "education professional" will have all the problems you postulate.
I suspect that what will happen is that the on-line coursework will be used to cover the basics (replacing classroom lecture), and that actual classroom time will be used for individual tutoring, drill, and added customized instruction.
I homeschooled, with excellent results, using online materials rather sparingly. True there are numerous wonderful resources on the net, especially for classical studies. More every year.
However...you can spend an awful lot of time searching, shopping, selecting, and then it’s tempting to plop the kid in front of the monitor and give him a list of places to go, lectures to absorb, etc.
They’re no substitute for a teaching parent.
If you read to him happily and often when the child is two, three years old, you usually get a child who loves reading and learns it as eagerly as he learned to walk.
If you want him well-educated in ninth grade, tenth...the same approach will achieve that.
When you teach what you know, you share a treasure; when you teach what you don’t know, you share an adventure. When you just assign lessons, rather than participate, you convey the message that learning is something less than a marvelous intellectual exploration of the world and its most interesting thinkers.
Thanks for the link. I’m going to check this out in depth, and might just add this to our home schooling regimen (ten years now).
1) He stated that K-12 (promoted by Bill Bennett) curriculum is identical to the program used by local school districts and is an extension of that curriculum. Why would I choose to pay for the program that public school provide with my tax dollars?
2) He made several references to being "Biblically based" and kept referring to the KJV. As a Born again Catholic why would I enroll my children n a program that uses a heretical bible and teaches things disagree with ie. Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide etc....?
1.) Public schools tend to mix in many new age, leftist, and progressive information into their teaching so many kids come out of school with a very warped progressive attitude and reject conservatism.
2.) I know that several people involved in FreedomProject Education are Catholic. I think just the general principles of the bible are used and not the explicit stuff that divide the churches.
