As for the ring’s being late, I do believe that the jeweler was keeping an eye on the price of gold before she locked down the price with the supplier.
It was originally quoted at $235, but when we went to pick it up, it was down to $200 because of fluctuation in the price of gold.
She’s one smart cookie! [smiles] I’m probably not her only new customer for life, LOL!
I didn’t mind waiting three weeks for her to get the best price for me, and I will shop there again for my (sadly for her) very few jewelry needs.

Indeed, it was. I’ve never had a jewelry store do any such thing for its customers before. Saying I was pleased is understatement.
