It was a ridiculous, unwatchable game.

Without being guarded, few NBA players could hit the percentage of 3 pointers Taylor made in the same amount of time. What he did is absolutely amazing.

Do your homework sir. The top 40 in the NBA (as of this evening)rank as follows:

#1: 58% of 3 pointers made

#40: 40% of 3 pointers made

Jack Taylor making 38% of his 3 pointers is NOT a good percentage. If you throw up enough prayers, some will be answered.

"few NBA players"

You're absolutely wrong. For instance, Jimmer Fredette can hit 80 out of 100 shots from the NBA 3-point line. Did you see Kevin Durant during the Olympics? Durant would probably have made about 80% his 3-pointers from the college distance. Many pro players, here and in Europe (Juan Carlos Navarro etal) could easily outdo what this kid did. He couldn't even play for a division 3 school UW-La Crosse (my old college), so he transferred to Grinnell just to be able to play. The whole thing was a farce of gigantic proportions. Also, in 1954 Frank Selvy of Furman scored 100 points in a game with no three ball. Selvy went on to play in the NBA and was a far superior player to Taylor.
