There have been suckers, but I don't think PM Netanyahu is one of them. The article posted at the top of the thread attributes this statement to him:

I realize that there are citizens who expect a harsher military action and we may very well need to do that.

If, as appears likely, Hamas et al continue to fail to honor the cease fire, he will probably respond militarily and forcefully. "World opinion" will, of course, be against Israel and favor the savages, but there's no help for that. He did the best he could by agreeing to a twenty-four hour cease fire with further negotiations to follow if it held.
