>>SEPT. 2012: Background Story: Cheryl Kosilek came home one night in 1990 to find her husband Robert Kosilek dressed in her clothes. A fight ensued which ended when he garroted her, near to beheading. He then put her body in the trunk of her car and left it in a shopping mall.
He was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
The story doesnt end there. Robert Kosilek sued the state to provide him with transgender surgery because of his identity crisis.
If he has the surgery, which could cost taxpayers as much as $20,000, he will be housed with WOMEN.
U.S. District Judge Mark Wolf has ordered the surgery. Transgender groups see this as a great victory and appear to have little regard for the women he will be housed with in prison. Nor do they seem to have any regard for the family of the murder victim or for the taxpayers who will have to foot this bill.
Senator Scott Brown is trying to help the victims family fight this outrageous use of taxpayer money.
>>Sorry but your argument is not shared by most rational people, including most in the Trans community. Michelle Koslinek (sic) gave up her (sic) rights to live as she wanted when she (ditto) was convicted of murder. The fact is that many transsexuals are forced to live without gender surgery because they can't afford it. They manage to survive in spite of the body dysphoria.
>>While gender reassignment surgery may help Michelle Kosnilek to feel better,it is not a life threatening medical issue and therefore the tax payers should not be forced to pay the bill. This is also setting a precedent that is dangerous. Are the tax payers going to have to start paying for bariatric surgery or other cosmetic procedures because the prisoner feels depressed and unhappy with their body? Are the tax payers going to be required to pay for years of Koslinek's )(sic) electrolysis, breast augmentation, facial feminzation surgery, hair transplants, scalp reduction and whatever else she feels is necessary for her to transition effectively? Transitioning can cost well over $100,000. Gender Reassignment surgery is just the start. I wonder how much the tax payers have already paid for her hormone therapy and psychiatric care? Seriously, this borders on insanity and I'm glad that both Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren have the common sense to say so.
>>By the way, I'm a post-op TS myself. I understand Gender Conflict. I waited until I was 55 y.o, before I could have SRS and I did not commit suicide. I think Koslinek is a manipulating the system and I'm not buying it. Letting her live as a female and giving her hormones seems more than compassionate.
The women he will be housed with will have little regard for him.
