Fair taxes.. ok make the lower 50% pay something.
How about expanding the definition of rich from just high-paid W-2 and 1099 workers to include the wealth possessed by those who are paid those salaries plus their wealth separate from the salaries; to wit, like the Kennedys, the Clintons, the Rockefellers, the Feinsteins, the Boxers, the Pelosis . . . .
I do believe when the Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) demand "make the rich pay their fair share" they are talking about high-income individuals (W-2 and 1099).

Savage was describing the "tiny" yachts of the 1950s (compared to today's).. I recall reading in the book While America Aged that in 1955 a stripped-down model of the Chevrolet cost about $1,500, GM had 50 percent of the market, and the president of GM "Engine Charlie" Wilson's pension was $25,000 / year.

I like the fair tax as it gets rid of the income tax, but I don’t see the 16th amendment going away.
Frankly, I predict a VAT will be added to the workers’ burden during obozo’s reign.

Savage mentioned "Obama's Biggest Supporters Stryker, NBC, Layoff Employees . . . ."
Any W-2 or 1099 earnings of Mr. Stryker's would probably be taxed as part of "tax the rich" but the earnings of his billions won't be taxed one red cent.. I bet.
