That's really my biggest issue with what is going on. I want someone in the GOP -- anyone -- to say something that really "crosses the line". You know: there are somethings you just don't say --

"The president hates this country"
"The president is a crypto Muslim"
"The president left soldiers to die because he hates the military and supports jihad"
"The president was re-elected through massive voter fraud"
"The president is worse than Nixon"

I really don't hear anybody saying much of anything. I guess the GOP doesn't care about the country. I guess they figure the essential power structure is in place and so "it's all good".

Of course they're worried what the media will say about them - the nail that sticks up gets pounded down.

If all were to say something along the lines you've suggested, and refused to back down when bullied by the reporters, what more could the media do to them? Half of the country would enthusiastically agree.

The GOP are afraid of their own shadows.

We need someone with courage who will take the fight to them. Our representatives quiver over the likes of poor little Susie Rice, needing big bad Obamie to protect her. If she’s that damn fragile she needs to get a job where she, hopefully, won’t be faced with owning up to her failures. Perhaps a funeral home (with apologies to funeral folks). Don’t we have anyone willing to take the outrage of the fake press and speak the truth? Like you say, anyone.....

They like things just they way they are in DC.

Job number 1 is making sure they keep getting reelected at least twice so they can get 5 years of service and get that that congressional pension for life.

All of the Washingtonians from both parties are living in fat city no matter who is in the WH.

The last thing they want is somebody to come in and wake up the American people with the news that the greatest threat to American freedom , prosperity , liberty, and the pursuit of happiness isn't a bunch of ragheads in the middle east, it's the federal apparatchiks in DC and Arlington, and their propaganda wing in the press.
