You are right Rock. I heard millions stayed home. Enough to lose it for us.But, I also red several places where between powell and the fat basturd of NJ it could have cost us two points, that we could not afford to lose.
OK, I accept the fact that 3 Million more voted for McCain than Romney. But what is the fall-off for Obama? I suspect there was voter suppression on both sides. Always is where the campaigns are deemed negative and nasty.
Mitt’s ads against O were not THAT negative but the Rove ads were hard hitting, plus a lot of other independent ads and rumors. O’s ads were ALL negative.
I think the number of fall off were comparable.
The big problem here (Ahia) was Gov Kasich being luke warm hoping to be re-elected in 2014 after being trounced by unions last year on a Gov Walker type law that included police and fire. (Walker was smart in not including safety forces - which can make you look bad with the folks). O took credit for auto bailout which largly affects Ohio as much as MI. Also a new shale oil boom and fracking has helped lower unemployment numbers in the Buckeye state.
Ohio’s statewide elected officials (including Atty General Mike DeWine - former U S Senator) are all R’s but they sat on their hands. Gutless wonders.
