I have never seen the actual numbers but I understand unemployment compensation plus other benefits that go with it would exceed what they are making. My same source said Massachusetts pays the most - anyone have a link to the amounts, state by state?

Good question. You can google each state I suppose. The state maximum benefit in Massachusetts, effective October 7, 2012, is $674 per week..

I had thought that CA had the highest which is $450/per week...max benefit. I would be surprised if any state could beat MA.

Here you go! Some surprises (to me) here. MA could go as high as 900+ per week benefit from this info.
