But Christ goes on to say be on the look out...
Mark 13
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
Too many of those who reject end times ministry focus on the “no man knows” and ignore the “watch”!
We have been given the signs and prophesies so we can recognize the end when it is coming. Sure looks like it is beginning to me!
Again, nothing wrong with preparing one’s soul for the Day of Judgment.
Read Isiah 17:1 where it talks about Damascus being utterly destroyed in one night, a nuke? We know that the street called straight still exists in Damascus, it is one of the oldest surviving cities in the middle east, God says it will be utterly destroyed, it has to happen before the 7 years begins.
Same with Ezekiel 29:9-29:21. Egypt will be desolate for 40 years? That is not prophecy during or after Armageddon right?
I have come to the conclusion after 30 years of Biblical research that both Damascus and Egypt's destruction seems like it will happen before the tribulation. These prophecies are not figures of speech.
