I don’t know what you have against the Southern Baptist denomination, or any other pro-life voting block, but in 2008, we know that 80% of the Southern Baptists voted pro-life republican, while only 45% of Catholics did.
In fact the entire spectrum of non-Catholic Christians, when lumped together under “Protestant” and putting in blacks, Hispanics, Episcopalians and the whole entire category of Christian, but not Catholics, still voted pro-life by 54%.
45% of pro-life voting Catholics is still more than probably all protestants combined. To hell with percentages. We all know Obama got 93% of black votes, and every one of them are votes to kill babies. The welfare hispanics should not even be included in a “catholic” discussion when talking about pro-life because they went for Obama - - therefore voting pro-death. Give me some raw numbers for a change. I know this. White Church going Catholics gave Romney 59% of their vote. Disregard hypocrites, whether protestants or catholics, when talking about the pro-life vote.
1/4 of the population of the US is Catholic. There is no such thing as a pro-life “voting block’. Not Catholic, not protestant, not any faith. If you a regular church goer you tend to vote for pro-life candidates. The Episcopal Church takes no stance on abortion. They could care less if their members vote pro-death. As a matter of fact the only church that says it is a mortal sin to vote for a pro-death candidate is the Catholic Church, which by the way is the only organized Christian Church in the United States, that actually has an official doctrine that Catholics are to live by, and if you can’t live by them, get out of the faith, it’s that simple. The Catholic Church does not form it’s doctrine by a show of hands like the majority of protestant faiths do. Their doctrine comes straight from the Bible and it will never change.
