Look at how the Christians who are baptized members of the Roman Catholic church voted, versus, how the much more diverse, even non-denominational, many not even baptized or members of any church, Christians who are not Catholics, voted.

Louisiana. In 2008, Catholcs voted 70% for McCain in La. Can’t find any exit polling for Catholics in any other states that normally go republican. In fact, I can only find exit polling for Catholics in two 2008 ‘red’ states, La and Az (Az was tie as far as I can find).
