Wait a sec, you say. Didnt Gallup find just six months ago that the number who describe themselves as pro-choice was at a record low? Indeed they did.
But as the saying goes, my friends: Elections have consequences.
More voters than ever now identify themselves as pro-choice when it comes to abortion, and most rate the issue as important to how they vote.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters shows that 54% describe themselves as pro-choice on the issue of abortion, while 38% say they are pro-life. Lets look at trends on abortion in a few recent polls. This one, from a WSJ poll in mid-October, isnt too helpful because the only point of reference is data from March 2005. Even so, theres a shift:

“Why should anyone on this site believe anything coming out of Rasmussen?”
Because Romney didn’t exactly win in a landslide.
Have you ever read anything about “pre-wrath” rapture? It’s been a while for me but I remember thinking there might be something to it or pre-trib. Regardless, I think we as believers need to always be prepared to meet our Lord since we don’t know when he may take us, individually.
Maranatha!
P.S. I asked my wife after the elections how we could expect revival when our country continues to murder children?
Must be that huge jump in “hispanics” sneaking into the country that the “media” is always telling us about.
The blame lies at the feet of idiots like Todd Akin who make pro-lifers sound like insensitive, unscientific jerks from the dark ages.
And yes, I’m pro-life.
Quit looking for the easy way out. The rapture is an utterly selfish notion. God allowed himself to be nailed to the cross and suffer tredmendously - all for the love of his children. Can’t you find the fortitude to do the same for Him?
The last generation of 70 years that started in 1948, came of age 30 years later and in 1980 declared Jerusalem as capital city without giving any recognition to the Messiah. Israel is now in the 40 years of accountability because of their continued rejection of the Messiah. As a result, they will conclude a covenant with the false messiah, which will be the formal starting point of the 70th year-week of Daniel (the tribulation of seven years). Before this seven year period begins the Lord Jesus will snatch away the true believers (Luke 21:36; John 14:2-3; 1 Thess. 4:16-18).
From my previous post: “Regardless, I think we as believers need to always be prepared to meet our Lord since we dont know when he may take us, individually.”
“...always...” I believe that covers it. I believe “the rapture”, whether pre-trib, pre-wrath, or post-trib is hinted at in scripture. I don’t believe it is doctrine to rest my faith on, though. I’ve just always been interested in eschatology and related subjects.
We are told we will probably suffer for Christ and to bring glory to the Father. We are not called to suffer HIS wrath, though, as that was put first upon Christ on the Cross. But yes, suffer in this world we will, for Christ. Never the less, come quickly Lord Jesus!
Kiss my ass, newbie.
The Democrats have done a marvelous job of portraying those opposed to abortion as misogynists. There’s nothing hip and cool about being pro-life per the media and Democrats, and young Americans seem to be all about that and fitting in with pop culture. They are bowing to their Democrat leaders. I honestly expect this. The culture continues to crumble in this country, people are now disciples of secularism and moral relativism instead of Christ, and the “tolerant” liberal backlash to being opposed to an issue like abortin is brutal.
If there is any hope, we desperately need to wage a full out campaign showing displays and ads with pictures of fetal development, showing that what is in the womb is a person. It won’t make a difference to the diehards, but it may reach the wishy washy moderates. We also need leaders who can properly articulate the pro-life position well.
Now, please go away.
The moronic "pro-choice" masses need a pictorial education of the end results of their "choice".
The purveyors of infanticide get away with employing neutral euphemisms to describe their satanic activities, but a picture is worth a thousand words. Ann Barnhardt has posted a picture on her site of an abortion victim that all these "pro-choice" nincompoops need to see.
But one of the difficult spots for the pro life position has always been he question of rape. Any strict pro lifer who tries to answer that question especially within the context of a sound bite driven campaign can easily come across sounding like Akin. Any less than strict pro lifer comes across as ethically inconsistent.
There was a detailed poll not long ago that was totally different. Increasing numbers of people who are pro-life. At this point I have no regard for polls at all if they are leftist run, which almost all are. Will check out later.
I belong to JESUS. I offer myself to HIM as HIS sword... if he will have me.
