Stop categorizing all Californians as losers. “They” include very decent conservatives who see nothing else but to leave the state. California conservatives are strong and deep — we have to be, living here. There are a lot of us, even though we are outnumbered. Never forget. If it weren’t for Californians you wouldn’t have a FR.
I know the difference between the Californians on the coast and those in the valley. Most of those who go to the Austin area are from the coast. They bring money, but they also bring their liberalism and a certain contempt for Texas ways. Not life those who come from Minnesota, who tend to assimilate. Those who come from the valley are as often as not, Texans and Okies and Arkies by origin who are leaving a declining state.
