A Toronto barbershop has found itself at the centre of a human rights complaint after its barbers refused to cut a woman's hair.
Faith McGregor, 35, went to the Terminal Barber Shop on Bay Street, back in June looking for a haircut.
But she was turned away.
The barbers, who are all Muslim, told her their religion didn't allow them to cut the hair of a woman who is not a member of their family.
McGregor filed a human rights complaint.

"I want the shop to be cited and forced to give haircuts in the fashion they provide [barbershop style] to any woman, or man that asks for one," she said.
I do love seeing sacred cows lock horns: in this case, the religious rights of a minority vs. the almighty Human Rights Commission. I'm makin' popcorn.

The Muslim barbers are sexist morons, and I would not allow anyone like them to cut my hair. The customer is a litigious moron, and I would not associate with anyone like her. The members of the Human Rights Council are morons, but at least it’s their job - they are professional morons. All three sides deserve each other, and I hope they will waste massive amounts of time and money, suffering the entire time.

Not me. They're wasting my money. It costs nothing to file this complaint; the taxpayers pick up the bill.
Personally, I think this kind of human rights complaint should be settled by a cage-match food fight. Halal optional, of course.

I’m on the side of the Muslims here. Their barbershop. Their business.
By cutting men's hair. It's a barber shop, after all. Islam doesn't forbid Muslim men from touching other men, only women who are not close relations. (And vice versa.)
Except it’s not their money. I would not want to spend more than it costs for a few gallons of petrol to douse them with and be rid of the lot, all 3 sides as you point out.
It will at least define who wins on the liberal hierarchy of victimhood scale in Canada, Muslims or women. I suspect you are correct and the Muslims will be higher on the scale.
I guarantee, that somehow, someway, this was planned to or will be turned to a way to harm Christians.
She’s at risk of them giving her lice via the comb or a disease from a rusty blade run against the scalp. It would be better to sue them for discrimination to put them out of business, but not to use them.
Let me guess she could not find a Christian business to accuse of discriminating against her for being gay so this was the next target of choice.

This is a religious freedom issue and a Muslim business should no more be compelled to act against their beliefs about the propriety of cutting the hair of an unrelated female than a Catholic business owner should have to pay for contraceptive coverage in an insurance plan.
Dumb! Why bother doing a public business? In reality the muslim barbers are practicing sexual discrimination spiced with religious discrimination. Frankly, these Muslim haters(barbers) should only be cutting men’s hair & trimming beards. The other reality muslims because of islam are full of intolerance.

Not a stretch at all. It is for religious reasons they can not cut a woman’s hair. If I don’t stop being Catholic because I have business they should not have to stop being Muslim because they have a business.
