And most people will think it's a fantastic idea that should have been done long ago. Where else could your retirement money make -8.5% interest?
this is not a tax on the wealthy...its a tax on all of us older, whiter workers who have saved and postponed new cars and houses and boats so we could fund our 401’s....it will kill us....
it’ll start out all nice and good...the vast lazy conspiracy will get extra checks...suddenly, in a couple of years, the funds will be GONE and it’ll be “so sorry”....

But we are not yet strong enough to come out in the open. WE are going to have to infiltrate and take over the democrat party.”
Who can argue their success?
Another part of their new strategy was “We must take over the pension plans.”
Last years, Col. Allen WEst NAMED the members of Congress that are members of the Democratic Socialists of America. He was excoriated. He was also right. Just one of the reasons they are determined to get rid of him.

If thats the case time for a coup d’etat. Not just a relieved of duty and exile, but a fighter pilot escorting air force one to do an “errant” fox two on that pospotus, followed by the army and marine corps going after all these communist pigs till they are resettled into the air..

Just wondering what prompted you to post this now. I have no doubt that the current administration would be happy to try this, but wondering if there is actually something definite happening now. Since the article is posted as of last year. Many people need to know about this if there is something definite going on.
This is the last pool of cash to steal. It should keep us afloat another month.
Boxlunch, I also noticed that this did not have a clear date on it, and the website doesn’t seem to be maintained beyond 2011. Prior to seeing this, I was aware of these sort of discussions in Washington. Teresa Ghilarducci, director of SCEPA, has been in Washington before committees discussing nationalizing retirements.
Boxlunch, I am not sure that something is happening presently, but there is continuing interest most certainly. When people think that current retirement programs are unfair to poor people, just like other areas, guaranteed retirements for all is in focus. I did not intend to cause any undue concerns, and for that, I am sorry.
I also was alarmed by this original posting, but could not initially find a date. Later, I found that the site was no longer maintained. However, it is still something to watch very closely. There has been interest in Washington.
