and of course, all the man hours cleaning, rescuing,draining,washing,rebuilding, re-electrifying,re-plumbing,etc etc didn't create a single job....

there's no lose for this current group of liars and frauds...

Unemployment rate is a survey where people are asked are you looking for work? People who affected by Sandy, yes are not working but they also are not looking for work, but looking for gas and power.

Sandy’s fault.

I think that's partly true. There were some lower numbers for a week or so because Sandy messed up the reporting. So I'd say maybe half of the increase belongs to the last couple of weeks, and the rest is for this week. Still a 400k week, and not good news.
