The last great act of defiance within each of us is our absolute, complete refusal to “moderate”, our refusal to comply, our refusal to change one iota of our principles, our beliefs, and our way of living and looking at our lives.
They only win when you let them win by giving in. The late, great Colonel Jeff Cooper said it best: “One can only be “terrorized” if one lets oneself be terrorized.”
Fight back, any way, every way, and always.
This is a battle in a larger war, and it ain’t over. Not by a long shot.
If the GOP as currently constituted can’t - or WON’T - get it done, then we’ll work to replace them, one at a time or en masse, with people who WILL get it done.
To the GOP: either lead, follow, or get the hell out of our way, because we want our damn country back.
Failing that, ultimately, it’s up to the rest of us.
