Who has curtailed Mormons from practicing their lst amendment rights to speaking out about Mormonism?
Answer: NO ONE
So if mere critiques serve as somehow infringing upon the lst amendment, then be consistent: If you apparently don't think Mormonism is to be critiqued, then by parallel, you must think that your critiques of anti-MormonISM = similar lst amendment infringements

If you apparently don't think Mormonism is to be critiqued . . . . Just damn. You've smashed through strawman, and penetrated beyond projection.

I think that 1rudeboy just likes to tweak conservatives and Christians.Yup. You nailed it. Tweak. Annoy. Provoke. Rile.
And not make enough sense in the process of communication so that he doesn't have a "center" of thought...he speaks from the margins...criticizes others' right to critique...and then when called on it, just resorts to name-calling & labels.
(Not a very deep thinker)

DUDE: these are all religious orders, they are ALL within the teachings of the Catholic church....they do not teach anything that is outside Catholic teachings. Some of them follow a particularily thin path within the church, none are schismatic nor heretical.

by the way, any of those groups which you mentioned, who fail to toe the line and follow Catholic teachings (those who might favor female priests for example) anr denied the backing of the church and soon die on the vine.

DUDE: these are all religious orders, they are ALL within the teachings of the Catholic church....DUDE: the Protestant denominations you cite...they are MOSTLY ALL within the teachings of the church as espoused within the Bible...
So...if you are critiquing the diversity of the Protestant church, you're going to have to try again explaining why the diversity of Catholic splinter religious orders is somehow distinct...

There are some people who just have to deflect because they can defend their positions.
Oh, well, keep up the good work.

Actually it was the article that is about underwear.
By a Mormon “journalist” on the campaign trail with his fellow traveler Romney.
The thread hardly even mentions the underwear issue.
It's gravitated to a Christian denomination that claims to be the only true church vs a belief system that in Christian circles is considered to be a cult.
What is kind of ironic is that Catholics (whose belief system states that everyone must come "back" to the “mother church” to be saved) are supporting Mormonism which believes that THEY are the only way to God.
Seems like a conflict to me!

His reluctance to engage the Mormon question was rooted, his aides privately told me, in a bitter 2008 Republican primary. Boo hoo.
The REAL answer is that MORMONs cannot defend their religion against a Chrsitian who happens to KNOW something about it and their own as well!Watch 'em in this thread.
A little back and forth, give and take replies and then they get all huffy and go away.
