We need the remainder of the default process to clean things up, IMO. Government can’t continue to be so hog-ish without big, “sustainable” revenues from a large manufacturing base. And ever-inflating, recirculating debt won’t do it. Bond collapse, “haircuts” for government income recipients (not only gamblers, er, investors), “austerity measures” (only spending cuts, without the tax hikes). Federal funding to local governments should be shut down first.
This is us in two years.
