The president is very ignorant-—he said on TV that the arctic ice cap is melting but the latest satellite update showed the ice was advancing rapidly (being winter and all). Next summer it will melt and next winter it will grow again-—been doing that for a long time now.
To any of our knowledge, he's never had a course in science. He certainly has no degrees in physics or engineering.
Right now, we're in a 17 year period in which the "earth temperature" hasn't increased in any statistically meaningful way even though atmospheric CO2 continues to increase.
So I hope his "conversation" looks at both sides of this question. We may be holding off the next ice age.
