Dolan will stand fast on this issue, until the lawsuit is lost. Then, paying for abortions will be redefined as “remote material cooperation.” I.e., acceptable. Catholic hospitals and schools will remain open.

Maybe. They do it in Germany pretty much that way and get away with it. Not that God doesn’t notice, or that anybody is going to get away with it in his eyes. But they do it that way anyway and it doesn’t seem to bother them a whole lot.
