At least you showed some humanity. Others are obsessed with ferreting out that he may have been homosexual as if that makes his suicide somehow better, deserved and expected.
Jesus Christ died for the sins of all men, and I was a lost sinner once, too.
I really do think we ought to hate sin and love the sinner. Not EXCUSE the sin—stand against it, but love the person.
My heart breaks for the people who are wrapped up in sin. Some worship sex, some worship money, others worship power.
God gave us sex, God gives us financial resources, and He allows us all to have some power—some men are granted great earthly power. When those things become our idol, they become perverted. And that is sinful.
Anyway, I didn’t mean to preach. I do feel sorry for this man, and I really do pray those who were close to him are somehow touched by Christ followers who have a heart and can somehow help them through this ordeal. Such is the Christ like thing to do.
