Rush has been doing an awful lot of reminiscing lately.
I think he’s preparing us for his retirement.

Maybe he SHOULD retire - and do something different with the rest of his life (and I’m the same age)...
Let’s face it, after all the years he’s been on (mostly AM) radio, most of those who like what he’s got to say have already discovered him. Sure, there is the occasional caller who is a converter lib that’s not seen the light - but that trickle is not enough to create the tidal wave we need.
If I were Rush, I’d invest my energy into truly making “The Limbaugh Institute” a reality. Put together a foundation where other great conservatives including Levin, Palin, his brother David, Newt, Santorum, and more - can join forces to raise awareness about (big C) Conservatism. Recruit those from all walks of life who have the time, talent, financial resources, or desire to share just like the left does with it’s big causes (think “Farm Aid” or MoveOn).
Are we to think the left owns all the talent and resources and is the only group truly motivated to advance their ideas? If that’s true, then Rush should go play golf and we should all get bend over cuz here it comes...
I reject that. But we need true LEADERship and not just high-falutin preaching to the choir like CPAC. We need grassroots activism to carry the Conservative message as articulated so passionately by Rush and as taught so well by Hillsdale College, The Heritage Institute, and others - to the American People who I am convinced will embrace it.
We aren’t getting this job done. And that “we” includes those who bloviate on AM radio for three hours a day. That worked in the 80s, it’s time for a new plan, and Rush could be integral in creating it.
(And yes, I hope he reads this!)
